Warm, Cosy & One Of A Kind
The Sebastian Says Boujad Dog Beds (also known as our iconic floor pillows) are lovingly handcrafted by Berber women from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Each bed is created from repurposed vintage rugs—once full-length, woven artworks—making every piece truly one of a kind.
The tradition of weaving is a generational artform. Passed down from mothers to daughters, it’s a creative expression of tribal identity and storytelling. Rugs can take months to complete, depending on the complexity of their pattern and size. Made entirely by hand using ultra-soft wool from native sheep, these beds carry the spirit and warmth of ancestral techniques.
In keeping with Berber tradition, the wool is washed using saponaria plants in the river, then dried under the stars to protect it from theevil eye. Each piece we curate pays homage to this craftsmanship and the cultural lineage it preserves.
